The Deputy Chief Imam for Bamboi in the Bole District of the Northern Region, Mallam Dawud Abdulrahman, has praised the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for promoting religious tolerance in the country.

Addressing a gathering of people from diverse religious backgrounds who had gathered for a meeting with the Dr Bawumia at Bole, the Muslim leader said the Vice President who is also the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer for the 2024 elections deserve praise because he has promoted what other leaders have failed to do in other countries.

“We’ve seen something very unique…when you go to other countries, there is no way you’ll see our brothers Christians and Muslims coming together this way, no way. Let’s thank Allah and our Vice President for this…,” he said.

He further thanked the second gentleman of the land for also working to ensuring that Arabic becomes examinable in various Junior and Senior High Schools (SHSs).

“Arabic teachers were being sacked from various schools with the excuse that Arabic is not an examinable subject [but] with the help of the Vice President, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, this year our brothers in JJHS wrote Arabic as a subject…,” he said to an applause.

Mallam Dawud Abdulrahman therefore urged the people of Bole Constituency to vote massively for the NPP flagbearer as Vice President to him, the latter has demonstrated that he represents all Ghanaians and not only Muslims.
