Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr. Randy Abbey has voiced concerns regarding Kwesi Appiah’s dual positions as the head coach of Sudan and as a member of the GFA’s Executive Council.
Appiah, elected to the Executive Council on behalf of Asante Kotoko, recently took on the role of head coach for the Sudanese national team.
This dual responsibility has ignited a discussion within the football community, with many questioning his ability to manage both roles effectively.
The Black Stars are set to compete against Sudan later this month in a doubleheader for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
However, Abbey has described the situation as “untidy,” highlighting the potential conflict of interest and the challenges of balancing both jobs.
“Kwesi Appiah has not participated in any meetings since the AFCON draw,” Abbey stated during an appearance on Metro TV.
