Media Excel Productions (MEP) has appointed Obeng Kojo Antwi Junior, popularly known as Kojo Shugga Junior, as a new artist manager.
His appointment marks a climactic moment for the production house, known for nurturing and promoting Ghanaian talents.
Kojo Shuga Jr., who has made a name for himself in the entertainment sector, brings on board years of experience and a fresh perspective to the role.
With a background in event organisation/coordination and promotion, Shugga was the producer for Entertainment City, Rendezvous, Jukebox, and Efie Asetena, and assistant producer for Di Asa season 1, 2, and 3, coupled with the Di Asa chat room at Atinka TV.
He also produced Bomu Nasa, Kanawu, E-update, Woso Reality Show, seasons 1, 2, 3, at Angel FM/TV; and also doubles as a visual director and social media manager at the station.
Prior to coming to Angel TV, Kojo Shugga was was a host at DC Radio and 1 Family Radio and a panelist as well.
Shugga has been instrumental in the careers of several renowned artists/actors, including Kwadwo Nkansh Lilwin, Paa Kwasi, Selina Boateng, and Mamalistic Mama.
His understanding of the industry dynamics and artists development makes him an excellent fit for this position.
As an artist manager, he will oversee the artist development process, including marketing, branding, and project management, ensuring that every artist under Media Excel Productions receives the guidance and resources necessary to succeed in an increasingly competitive industry.
Kojo Shugga is yet to manage Kofi Sarpong, Estelle Safowaa, Afia Ayiwah, Lady Rhoda, Ronica, and other artistes that will be signed under Media Excel Productions.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Media Excel Productions, Dr. Ernest Kwesi Ennin, has said he is happy to have him on board to help push the firm’s ideologies.
