A Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante, has opined that the former president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, is healthier than the many of the youth in the incumbent government.
Mr. Asante argued that the 81-year-old statesman is in better shape compared to many young members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
During a panel discussion on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on April 2, 2025, Mr. Asante specifically singled out the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, noting that his fitness cannot compare to that of the immediate past president.
“Nana Addo is 81 years old but he is fitter than Sam George. Nana Addo is 81 years; I am not a medical expert, but when you conduct your research, observation is also important. At 81 years, God has blessed him,” he stated.
Mr. Asante made this assertion, citing that during the immediate past NPP government, some members of the NDC, including Sam George and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, made derogatory remarks about president Akufo-Addo due to his age.
