A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has called on the party’s National Executives to reinstate all aggrieved members who have either left or been dismissed from the party.
According to him, healing old wounds and bringing back estranged members is critical to strengthening the NPP’s grassroots and national base.
Mr. Agyapong made the appeal while addressing constituency executives and party faithful during the first day of the party’s ‘Thank You Tour’ at Takoradi Technical University in the Western Region.
The former Assin Central Member of Parliament emphasized that the NPP’s quest to recapture power in 2028 would be impossible without genuine unity.
He also took the opportunity to apologize to the people of Ghana for any wrongdoings committed by the NPP or its leadership during its term in office.
Mr. Agyapong expressed profound gratitude to the NPP grassroots, praising their resilience, loyalty, and tireless efforts to keep the party’s spirit alive even in difficult times.
He reiterated that the grassroot holds the true power to determine the NPP’s future success.
He emphasized that “unity, humility, and grassroots empowerment” are the keys to securing victory for the NPP once again.
