The General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has expressed confidence in the party’s ability to regain power in the 2028 election, highlighting the party’s strength, discipline and unity.
During the NPP’s National Delegates Conference at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday, July 19, 2025, he urged party members to unite and reaffirm their commitments to the party’s core values and national service.
He stressed that party members in office are part of a larger tradition and must conduct themselves in accordance with the party’s regulations.
“Let us all understand that today we are National Officers of the party. We are Members of Parliament, we are members of the Council of Elders. But people have occupied these positions before,” Mr. Kodua said.
He cautioned against premature campaigning, emphasizing that aspirants should not embark on nationwide tours until the official nomination process begins.
“Until you officially open nominations for aspirants to go round the country to convince and talk to the rank and file of our party, let us continue to deny people from coming to our regions and our constituencies,” he reiterated.
