Veteran Hilife musician, Amakye Dede, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, following confirmation of his passing by the family on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Reacting to the news, Amakye Dede expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a man he described as both a brother and a legend.
“Today, I’ve lost a brother and a true legend. Daddy Lumba was more than a musician — he was family,” Amakye Dede stated.
He acknowledged the indelible mark Daddy Lumba left on Ghana’s music industry and emphasized the emotional void his passing would leave.
“His music will live on, but his absence will be deeply felt. Rest in peace, Charles. You’ll always be in our hearts,” he added.
