Former Black Stars captain, André Dede Ayew, has officially parted ways with Le Havre AC, closing his chapter with the French club.
Ayew joined Le Havre in 2023 after his contract with Nottingham Forest came to an end, arriving as a seasoned forward with a wealth of experience.
Though initially departing in the summer of 2024, he re-signed with the club in October for another one-year spell.
His stay proved instrumental as he helped guide Le Havre clear of relegation.
The French Ligue 1 club has paid tribute to Ayew with a heartfelt message, thanking him for his sacrifice.
According to the club, Ayew’s stint with the Sky and Navy side will be remembered for its grit, professionalism, and profound connection with the Le Havre community.
“Thank you André. A monster of tenacity, André Ayew was an example for all the Sky&Navy, he who so well understood the HAC and its fans, Le Havre and its residents.”
Their tribute also wished the former Marseille and West Ham United playmaker well, saying, “Best of luck, André.”
During his time at Stade Océane, Ayew featured in 49 matches across all competitions and netted nine goals.
