Following the tragic loss of eight lives in a helicopter crash, President John Dramani Mahama has suspended all scheduled activities and engagements for the remainder of the week.
In honour of the departed and, in recognition of the gravity of this national tragedy, the President has declared three days of national mourning, commencing Thursday, 7 August 2025.
“There will be three days of National mourning,” he said in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President & Minister, Government Communications.
During this period, all national flags are to be flown at half-mast until further notice.
