The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the official team program for the Black Stars ahead of their upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying matches against Chad and Mali, scheduled for early September.
The itinerary spans from Sunday, August 31 to Monday, September 8, and outlines a series of training sessions, travel arrangements, and matchday preparations.
The Black Stars will begin with players arrivals and an open training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 1, before traveling to N’Djamena on Tuesday, September 2, for their first fixture.
Ghana will then face Chad on Thursday, September 4 at the Stade Olympique in N’Djamena.
The team returns to Accra the following day for recovery and closed training sessions in preparation for their second match against Mali, set for Monday, September 8 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The GFA has indicated that while most training sessions will be closed to the public, the first session and a brief media window on Sunday, September 7 will be open to journalists and fans.
These fixtures mark Matchday 7 and 8 of the qualifiers on the continent with Ghana currently leading Group I.
Victory in both matches would significantly bolster the Black Stars’ chances of securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
