The Bank of Ghana (BOG), in collaboration with the Bank of England and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), is set to host a two-day High-Level Pan-African Central Bank Governors’ Conference in Accra on November 10-11, 2025.
The conference, themed “Central Bank Governance: Leadership, Credibility, and Resilience in African Central Banking,” will bring together current and former African central bank governors and deputy governors for candid discussions on navigating the rapidly changing global environment.
According to a press release from the BOG on Monday, November 10, 2025, the event aims to foster honest reflection and peer learning among participants, focusing on preserving credibility, independence, and resilience in African central banking.

It noted that the conference is part of the Bank of Ghana-Bank of England Technical Cooperation Programme, which has supported 21 African central banks since 2018.
Invited attendees include central bank leaders and senior officials from the Bank of England, FCDO, International MonetaryFund (IMF), Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), and other experts.
A communiqué outlining key insights and outcomes is expected to be issued after the event.
