Acting Head of the Complementary Education Agency, Daniel Kwasi Ashaimah, has urged the government to create units within the security agencies that focus on agriculture and industry to help boost productivity.
Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Monday, November 10, 2025, Mr Ashaimah said economic growth and industrialisation depend heavily on the youth.
He argued that the security services should actively create opportunities to support this growth.
“We should open a sector at the security agencies for the youth, adding their energy. If they don’t use it well, many of them will become beggars,” he stressed.
He explained that expanding the economy relies on the youth, making it important to recruit more young people into the security services.
Mr. Ashaimah added that investing in the youth is beneficial because it adds value to different sectors of the economy, especially when they engage in agriculture and factory work, which helps generate revenue for the country.
“We should allow every individual into the security service so that they can go into production; that’s where the salary will come,” he mentioned.
