A fierce fire that ravaged a two-storey building at Adjiringano near Ability Square on Friday night, November 14, 2025, left two Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) personnel injured, with one suffering a stab wound.
An unidentified individual reportedly stabbed one of the firefighters who were called in to douse the blaze.
The suspect immediately fled the scene during the operation, the Ghana National Fire Service indicated.
According to reports from the GNFS, the fire call was received at 9:32pm, prompting a swift response from the Legon Fire Station, with the first pump arriving at 10:03pm.

Reinforcements from Madina, National Headquarters, and Adenta Fire Stations, along with a private water tanker, helped contain the blaze.
The fire, which was brought under control at 12:16am and fully doused at 1:08am, destroyed seven of the eight rooms on the top floor.

Firefighters managed to salvage one room on the top floor and the ground floor rooms, as well as adjoining buildings.
Tragically, two firefighters sustained injuries during the operation.
One suffered a stab wound to the left arm, while the other was hit by a falling block on his left shoulder.
According to reports, both were treated and discharged from Unity Clinic in Madina.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, pending further investigation.
However, the GNFS has announced a special reward to anyone with relevant information that will lead to the arrest of the individual who stabbed one of their firefighters.
