Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has visited Dansoman Market to console traders affected by the recent fire outbreak, which destroyed several stalls and claimed the life of an eight-year-old girl.
According to a Facebook post made by the Ministry on Thursday, November 27, 2025, Dr. Lartey interacted with affected traders and assured them of the Government’s commitment to support them as they worked to rebuild and return to business.

The Minister pledged that the Ministry stands ready to offer psychosocial support to traders affected by the trauma of the incident.
She also promised to collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure coordinated relief support.

Madam Lartey further visited the mother who tragically lost her daughter during the fire outbreak and assured the family of the Ministry’s unwavering support.
