Ghana’s Ambassador to China, Kojo Bonsu, has expressed great enthusiasm about his efforts and initiatives to serve the Ghanaian community in China.
“They call me ‘Gen Z President’ because their welfare is in my hands, and I am taking care of them,” the former Kumasi Mayor said in a telephone interview on the Midday news on Angel TV and Angel 102.9 FM, Thursday, November 27, 2025.
He added: “I mostly call them to wish them well on their birthdays.”
He emphasized that his actions are guided by a strong commitment to their welfare, ensuring that their needs are addressed and supported while living abroad.

“I mostly meet the Ghanaian community, including students and chiefs, to seek their concerns, I consistently take good care of them.
“Measures are underway to bring Ghanaian prisoners out [from jail],” he disclosed
He further added that he would ensure Ghanaian youth will have access to employment opportunities and are equipped with practical skills.
