The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has expressed immense pride in the Black Queens following their spirited performance in an international friendly match against England.
The Queens suffered a 2-0 defeat to the European champions in a historic international friendly match played on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at St. Mary’s Stadium in the UK.
Despite falling short against the Lionesses, the team put up an outstanding performance, earning applause from the Ghanaian football community.
In a post shared on his official social media platforms, Mr. Okraku lauded the team’s resilience and potential, highlighting the bright prospects that lie ahead for Ghana’s senior women’s national team.
“Very very proud of this team. What a promising future,” he wrote, echoing the optimism surrounding the squad’s development.
The Black Queens’ display against one of the world’s top-ranked sides has reignited confidence in the team’s progress, with many fans and stakeholders echoing Okraku’s sentiments.
