President John Dramani Mahama has outlined a hopeful and ambitious vision for Ghana’s future, placing strong emphasis on equal opportunity, dignity, and national pride.
Speaking In his 2026 New Year’s address, he declared, “I see a Ghana where every child, regardless of their background, can dream and achieve those dreams.”
He spoke of a nation that values hard work, rewards merit over mediocrity, upholds integrity, and fights corruption.
The President further envisioned a country where young people can access opportunities locally without resorting to dangerous migration routes.
“I see a Ghana where our young people don’t have to risk their lives crossing the Sahara or the Mediterranean in search of opportunities because opportunities abound right here at home,” he stated.
He also expressed hope for a society where the elderly are treated with dignity and the vulnerable receive protection.
President Mahama further declared his belief that Ghana is on course to earn greater global respect for its democratic principles, economic resilience, and the strength of its people positioning itself as a shining example for Africa and the world.
