A tragic accident occurred on Sunday, January 25, 2026, along the Accra–Kumasi Highway when a cement truck overturned at Breku Forest near the Pra River.
The accident left one person dead and two others injured.
The crash, according to reports trapped three occupants inside the vehicle.
However, rescue teams from the Konongo–Odumase and Juaso Fire Stations, under the command of Sub-Officer Siaw Richardson, swiftly arrived at the scene.
Firefighters managed to rescue two survivors, who were immediately conveyed by ambulance to the Juaso Government Hospital for treatment.
The deceased was retrieved and handed over to the Police.
The Ghana National Fire Service has confirmed that investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.
