Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMTL) has commissioned an ultra-modern restaurant facility at its Head Office in Accra.
The restaurant is set to cater for the nutritional needs of its staff and the surrounding community, particularly residents of Abossey Okai and Awudome Estate.

The facility, known as MJ Catering Services is a response to years of appeals from staff who have faced challenges accessing affordable and quality meals within the vicinity.

Although food vendors operate nearby, staff often had to order meals from other parts of Accra, incurring additional costs due to delivery charges and delays.

The commissioning of the restaurant comes as a significant relief to staff, who will now have access to convenient, affordable, and hygienically prepared meals.

The facility is managed by an experienced caterer and supported by a professional team of kitchen staff, offering a variety of local and continental dishes.
Commissioning the facility on Monday, February 2, 2026, the Managing Director of MMTL, Cezario Kale, Esq. , described the occasion as historic for the company.
“Today marks a historic milestone for Metro Mass. This facility will not only nourish our staff but also serve our passengers.
“It will help us save time and money while ensuring access to quality meals,” he said.
Mr. Kale expressed optimism about the sustainability of the initiative and encouraged staff to patronize the facility.
He further assured workers of management’s commitment to periodically subsidize meal costs, noting that the initiative reflects management’s broader welfare agenda.
“This is just the beginning of greater things to come for Metro Mass,” he added.
The Chief Executive Officer of MJ Catering Services, Shirley Naana Osei Ampem, expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to serve Metro Mass staff and stakeholders. She assured patrons of quality service at affordable prices.
“With as low as GHS30.00, everyone can eat to satisfaction. We are committed to serving you better,” she stated.
The restaurant facility is operated under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP)arrangement.
