A fire outbreak has severely damaged a three-bedroom residential building in Boadua, Denkyembour District in the Eastern Eastern Regiono, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) announced the unfortunate incident.
In a statement on Monday, February 9, 2026, the GNFS’s Akwatia Fire Post said it received a distress call at noon on Saturday, February 7, 2026, bout 10:02 am, reporting a fire outbreak at the residence.
According to the Fire Service, emergency response was delayed due to the unavailability of a fire tender at the Akwatia Fire Post or Kade Fire Station, which is the nearest station to the incident scene.
It added that although the blaze had already consumed most of the building when they arrived, some belongings were salvaged, leaving the property heavily damaged.
Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported, although the property suffered extensive damage, the GNFS mentioned.
