President John Dramani Mahama has departed Accra for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the 39th Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

President Mahama will lead a number of engagements for the African Union, including discussions on reparations, gender, and financial inclusion. He is also expected to co-host several high-level side events during the Summit.

As part of his engagements, the President will host a breakfast meeting on Saturday focused on the Accra Reset initiative, dubbed “Addis Reckoning.”

He is further scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with other African leaders and heads of multilateral organisations, and to participate in an Italy–Africa Forum.
