Captain of Accra Hearts of Oak, Benjamin Asare, has expressed his readiness ahead of the upcoming Super Clash against bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The two giants of Ghanaian football will face off in the return leg of the 2025/26 Premier League season on February 15, with bragging rights at stake.
In the first-leg encounter, played during week nine of the league, Hearts of Oak suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Angel FM, the experienced shot-stopper reaffirmed his commitment to the task ahead.
“It is my job, and I have always remained the Benjamin Asare everyone knows, always ready for any task.
“I’m prepared for the Kotoko game, except if I’m asked to rest so others can play,” the Black Stars number one goalkeeper stated.
The highly anticipated clash will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on February 15, 2026, as part of the week 22 fixtures of the league.
