The police have arrested two suspects, including a notorious land guard, Saviour Kojo Ekpe, in Abokobi, Greater Accra Region.
Ekpe (45years) was arrested on Thursday, March 5, 2026, following intelligence that linked him to acts of intimidation and illegal possession of firearms in the area.
A search of his room yielded four pump-action guns, 101 AA and BB live cartridges, one Glock Austria pistol, 17 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and a jack knife.

During interrogation, Ekpe admitted owning the weapons but failed to provide a lawful justification for possessing them, claiming some were for hunting and personal protection.
The police suspect the weapons may have been rented out to individuals for criminal activities.
Another suspect, believed to be Epke’s accomplice, Emmanuel Abbey, was also arrested for allegedly threatening the life of a complainant.
Both suspects are in police custody assisting with investigations.
