The Member of Parliament (MP) for Anyaa-Sowutuom, Emmanuel Tobbin has called on the nation to unite for prosperity and development.
In his speech during the 69th Independence Day celebration held at Antieku, Mr.Tobbin stated that the freedom and independence, fought for us by our forefathers, came with responsibility.

“We thank God for how far he has brought us as a nation; the 69th year our forefathers, led by Dr. Kwamen Nkrumah fought for our freedom and declared Ghana is free forever.
“That freedom came with responsibility; it is now our duty to protect it and make our country a better place for all of us,” he said.

He emphasized that it is now the duty of every Ghanaian to protect that freedom and work to make the country a better place for all.

The MP highlighted this year’s theme, “building prosperity and restoring growth,” reminding attendees that collective effort is essential to improve the nation.

He defined prosperity as “creating jobs, advancing education, and developing communities,” stressing that every citizen should have the opportunity to succeed.

Mr. Tobbin affirmed his commitment to support development programs, prioritize youth empowerment, improve infrastructure, and advocate for better opportunities for the people of Ga Central and Ghana at large.

The MP further urged the youth to prioritize their education to become better people in the country.
