Police have reportedly arrested a man identified as Benjamin Afedzie for allegedly possessing human remains and animal materials while travelling on a commercial bus in the Ashanti Region.
In a Facebook post by Crime Check TV, the suspect was apprehended at the Kwamang 50-50 checkpoint after police officers conducting a routine inspection stopped a Sprinter bus heading from Kumasi to Boamang.
During a search of Afedzie’s belongings, officers reportedly found a powdery substance believed to be ground human skull, a food flask containing a fresh heart, two human eyeballs, and a bottle filled with fresh blood.
“During questioning, he is said to have told police that the powder was a skull which has been grounded, and that the heart belonged to a pig, the eyeballs to a dog, and the blood was also that of a dog destined for a mallam in Boamang who was to use them to treat him of a heart condition,” the Crime Check post noted.
