The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery at the Kwafokrom GOIL Filling Station near Nsawam on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The suspects, Amos Boame and Collins Adjei, are in custody while police pursue a third suspect, Ashivie, who remains at large.

According to a statement issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Eastern South Police Headquarters on May 26, exhibits retrieved from the suspects include an Alder Tupal pump-action gun with serial number 245A-12944, an electronic shocker, a cutlass, and a bullet vest. The items are being kept for evidential purposes.

During the robbery, the suspects shot a security man and a pump attendant who had taken refuge in an office within the station. The two victims are in stable condition.

The robbers made away with cash amounting to Ghc13,460.00 and assorted provisions. The value of the stolen provisions is yet to be determined.
