Chief of Staff, Dr Julius Debrah, has cut the sod for the construction of the Achimota School Centenary Clinic.
The ceremony brought together the school’s leadership, the GNPC Foundation, parents, Old Achimotans and other distinguished guests.
The project is expected to provide healthcare services to the school community, which has nearly 10,000 people, including students and staff.
The clinic will have diagnostic facilities and a pharmacy to serve both the school community and the general public.
The project is aimed at improving access to healthcare and ensuring the wellbeing of students and staff.
Dr Julius Debrah commended the Old Achimotan Association, the School’s Governing Board, the Parent-Teacher Association and the GNPC Foundation for their commitment and support towards making the project possible.
He also called on Old Achimotans, year groups and friends of the school, both in Ghana and abroad, to support the project and help secure its future.
The Centenary Clinic forms part of efforts to give back to the institution as it approaches its 100th anniversary.
