Owner and President of division one league club, Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has described the expenditure made known to the general public by the Ghana Football Association as bogus.
Reacting to the documents released by the footballing association on expenditures made since assuming office, Osei Palmer has said the said budget presented is not relevant noting that, there was no submitted budget during the FA’s last held congress in 2019.
He added that as an expert in finance, he it extremely difficult to accept what has been termed budget by the GFA
“Last year we went for congress and budget was not submitted. New date has been communicated for another congress but we still don’t have a comprehensive budget. What the GFA has published on their website cannot stand as a budget,” he told Saddick Adams on Angel FM.
“It is very difficult to understand that what the FA has published is a budget. In fact that is a bogus budget. As a financial expert, I have never seen or heard of a budget that takes retrospective effect,” Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer said.
The disappointed GFA presidential aspirant nevertheless, reckons that auditors at the association are at post hence, congress cannot be held without authorization of an all important financial statement.
The vocal football administrator has challenged the FA to contest him, stressing that the Association has lavishly and wastefully spent a whopping amount of dollars.
“I am saying that, the GFA has blown $40 million dollars. They can sue me,” he dared the FA.
