Family of Josephine Panyin Mensah have invoked curses on the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Otchere Darko-Mensah, for stating that their 29-year-old daughter has not been pregnant as claimed in media reportages.
According to the relatives, she has been pregnant long before her disappearance in the alleged kidnapping.
Josephine who was said to be nine months pregnant, was found on Tuesday, September 21 in the garden of the Jehovah Witnesses church at Tolanu, a suburb of Axim in the Western Region. She was however without her pregnancy or baby at the time found.
The Regional Minister updating the public on Angel FM’s Anopa Bↄfoↄ morning show noted that the woman in question had no records of pregnancy after she was subjected to several medical examinations and scans following her admission at the Axim hospital.
The family and neighbours of Josephine Panyin who felt disappointed at the minister’s comments on September 23, invoked curses on him. They threatened to add more curses should medical records turn out to prove that Madam Josephine was indeed with baby.
They also asked the gods of the land to deal with the medical doctor who pronounced the woman’s status as ‘not pregnant’ after running a test.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has also confirmed that the woman was not pregnant and have since declared her a suspect, leading to the arrest of three other persons in connection with the alleged fake pregnancy and kidnapping.
