The Assembly Members of Okere District in the Eastern Region have confirmed Daniel Kenneth Addo, the President’s nominee, for the position of the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area for the second time.
Following a successful poll conducted by the District Electoral officer, Theresa Carrey, Daniel polled all 100% votes from 30 assembly members who voted Yes to approve him and maintain him as their DCE.
Daniel Kenneth Addo was then sworn into office by the Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong.
He thanked President Akufo-Addo for the trust he had in him by nominating him as representative in the district for the second time.
Also, he extended his appreciation to staffs, assembly members, and the general public for rallying behind, and assured of strengthening the relationship between both in his second tenure.
Notwithstanding, Minister for local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Okere District, Dan Kwaku Botwe, called on all and sundry to support the DCE and the government towards discharging their core mandate to Ghanaians.
