A Ghanaian sound engineer, Kwadwo Opare Addo known in showbiz as Voltage, has revealed that he did not charge for the numerous features he did for top artistes in the industry.
He made this revelation on Angel Entertainment hosted by Mr. Handsome last Saturday November 20, 2021.
The engineer who doubles as a highlife artiste has featured on many hit songs and has worked with top artistes in the industry such as the legendary Daddy Lumba, Ofori Amponsah, Kwame Aplus amongst others.
He however claimed that he did not make enough money from featuring on the hit songs like “Mpempem” and others, because he was not interested in monetary gains.
He noted that his love for the job took precedence over the financial benefits.
Voltage added that he featured on most of the songs because he believed a time will come when the artistes would reciprocate his attitude helping with his songs too.
He further raised concerns about how the artistes with whom he had worked failed to involve him in their various tours despite being available and instead made use of strangers anytime they performed live.
Voltage added that whilst some of the artistes appreciated him, others gave him empty promises which were not fulfilled till date.
