The Paramount Chief of Mion, His Royal Highness, Mionlana Mahamadu Abdulai V has died after a short illness at the 37 Military hospital in Accra.
Naa Mahamadu Abdulai has since been laid to rest at Sambu, the traditional capital of Mion in line with Dagbon customs and tradition.
The Chief passed on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at age 48.
The late Mahamadu Abdulai was born in 1974 and became Boling-Lana at the age of 14, a day after his father was laid to rest.
