Six officers of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have been injured after they got involved in a road crash.
The crew were responding to an accident call involving a cargo truck and a tricycle on the main Dormaa to Berekum road that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
The Fire Engine of the GNFS is said to have summersaulted and landed on its roof.
A statement dated September 27, from the Service, has however declared that “the riding crew of six who got injured were rescued and are now responding to treatment at the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital.”
According to the Director of Public Relations of the Ghana National Fire Service, ACFO 1, Timothy Osafo-Affum, the cause of the crash in which the vehicle of the fire officers somersaulted, is not yet known.
