Black Stars skipper, Andre Dede Ayew has reportedly made a cash donation to former Ghana U-20 male national team coach, Sellas Tetteh.
The donation comes at the time the former Black Satellites tactician is said to be battling some health issues.
Following the deterioration of Mr. Tetteh’s health condition, he disclosed in an interview that the state is yet to honour a promise made to him after he led the Black Satellites win the 2009 U-20 FIFA World Cup in Egypt.
The situation has since pushed some individuals to make donations to the former national hero, to assist him financially. This compelled the former Swansea City and West Ham United player to follow suit.
On behalf of his Dede Ayew, his mother Mrs. Maha Ayew and spokesperson Fiifi Tackie, made the presentation of the undisclosed amount of money to the coach at his residence in Accra.
“Black Stars Captain Andre Ayew has made a donation to 2009 U-20 World Cup winning coach Sellas Tetteh. The donation was done on his behalf by his mum Mrs Maha Ayew and spokesperson Fiifi Tackie. Tetteh disclosed to us in an interview last month that he’s still owed from 2009,” Head of Sports of Accra-based-Angel FM, Saddick Adams confirmed.
