Former Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu, has agreed on a deal at Berekum Chelsea to become the club’s new manager.
His affiliation with the Ghana Premier League side marks his return to the country’s top-flight football since leaving Accra Hearts of Oak in 2022.
The former Medeama SC manager replaces Christoper Ennin who recently resigned from his role.
Berekum Chelsea in an official statement on the club’s X page announced the capture of the former Ghana U-20 coach.
“We officially announce the appointment of Mr. Samuel Boadu as the new gaffer of the club. Coach Boadu brings on board his rich experience and expertise,” it said.
Angelonline understands Mr. Boadu is expected to be officially unveiled just before Berekum Chelsea’s next home game against Accra Lions on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
The tactician known for his short-term successes at Accra Hearts of Oak, led the side to a league title and two FA Cup titles and later became the fans’ favorite until he was relieved of his post.
Berekum Chelsea currently sits in sixth position on the league table with 30 points.
