A former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has fired shots at the 2024 flagbearer of the party, John Dramani Mahama for his decision to hold meetings at night.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show, the vociferous politician said he could not fathom why the NDC leader would make it a norm to meet journalists during the late hours as part of his bid to become president in 2024.

He insinuated and described the action as one that amounts to the behaviours of “armed robbers” indicating that, it is uncalled for to engage in activities at such periods.

“Look, just recently about two Sundays ago, around 8 PM you [Mahama] said you were meeting the press, At that night? I called it ‘armed robbery meet the press’ because, it is only armed robbers who operate at unexpected periods.

“When Ghanaians were relaxed in their various homes watching football matches after their respective lunch, it was at that moment that Mahama went to hire a hotel, and invited friends and cronies in the name of meeting the press,” Koku Anyidoho said.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute questioned if that is how his party’s leader wants “…to communicate to us? Since that press conference, we have not even heard sound bytes of what Mahama said in terms of his planned policies.”
