President John Dramani Mahama has challenged Sports and Recreation Minister, Kofi Adam’s, to ensure that football in the country rediscovers its footing.
He noted with utmost concern the deteriorating state of Ghanaian football and tasked the minister with redefining it.

President Mahama, during the swearing-in of 17 ministers at the Jubilee House made the call while highlighting what he described as the “monumental task” ahead of the Kofi Adams.
“I don’t envy your job. You have the monumental task of returning Ghana to its pride of place in Africa and world sports,” he said.
The President suggested that the minister focus on all sporting disciplines, stressing that doing so would open a new dawn in Ghana’s sporting fraternity.
“I expect that you concentrate on building up all sports disciplines, and I know Ghana Football Association will be a good space to start work and return Black Stars to its glory days,” Mr. Mahama maintained.
