France-based Ghanaian player, Andre Dede Ayew, has been left out of Black Stars’ 23-man squad for the crucial World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

Dede Ayew, despite his snub, is one of Ghana’s in-form players plying their trade in Europe.

The Le Havre attacking midfielder was dropped from Otto Addo’s squad for the doubleheader. He has four goals and an assist in the ongoing French Ligue 1 season.

His absence means the former Black Stars skipper has now gone nearly a year without featuring for the national team with his last outing being in March 2024 in which he featured in a friendly match against Namibia.

However, the squad includes the likes of Jordan Ayew, Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, and Mohammed Kudus, among other integral members of the Black Stars.

Ghana play Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium and Madagascar in Morocco three days later.
