Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has launched a unique Campus Cat Identity Initiative.
The cards were officially issued to two campus cats, Kwasi Joe and Kofi Sam, at the Main Administration enclave.
According to the university’s facebook post, the initiative aims to promote animal welfare and community wellbeing on campus, reflecting KNUST’s commitment to sustainability and community care.

The ID cards feature photos of the cats and their names, with Kofi Sam’s and Kwasi Joe’s cards showcased in the announcement.
The university noted that the move is part of efforts to support animal welfare and foster a caring campus environment.
