Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has held fruitful bilateral discussions with Morocco’s Foreign Affiars Minister, His Excellency Nasser Bourita, in Rabat.
The talks reviewed the progress of relations following new agreements reached during Mr. Ablakwa’s official visit to Morocco in June.

Mr. Ablakwah highlighted that 2,663 Ghanaians have benefited from the new Visa Waiver policy between Ghana and Morocco.
He added that he interacted with the first batch of Ghanaian students awarded scholarships under a newly negotiated bilateral scheme.

According to him, the scheme offers 140 scholarships to Ghanaian students annually, with the first group arriving in Morocco after a rigorous selection process.
He further noted that about 85% of these students are pursuing courses in engineering, computer science, medicine, and lab technology.
The Minister also revealed that discussions are also underway for the establishment of a major fertilizer manufacturing factory in Ghana.

He emphasized the commitment to deepening and sharpening the focus on impactful diplomacy between Ghana and Morocco.
This development underscores the growing cooperation between Ghana and Morocco, with potential benefits for education, trade, and economic development in Ghana.
