The Ghana Police Service has granted bail to controversial Marriage Counselor, Cyril George Lutterodt, popularly known as Counselor Lutterodt, following his arrest on Monday, March 9, 2026.
According to the service, he was arrested for conduct conducive to breach of the peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), and inciting violence under the Criminal Offences Act and the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491).
Police explained in a statement that the suspect was cited in a viral video allegedly inciting some youth to storm the residence of the late highlife musician, Daddy Lumba.
It noted that the comments were “considered offensive and capable of causing a breach of the peace.”
Counseler Lutterodt is expected to appear before the court on Wednesday, March 11, to face the law.
