The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) has elected Rev. Enoch Nii Narh Thompson, as its new chairman at its 2026 Annual General Meeting, held Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Rev. Thompson, the Executive President of the Ghana Baptist Convention, took over from Rt. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. B.D.K. Agbeko (Rtd.), who chaired the Council from May 2025 to May 2026.

Rev. Thompson had been serving as the Council’s Vice Chairman prior to his election.

The AGM took place at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Head Office at Kuku Hill, Osu.
