Kumasi Asante Kotoko are champions of the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign with three matches to end the season.
Needing just a point to lift the trophy, the Porcupines remained focused despite conceding first, and managed to hold the miners to a 1-1 draw in their outstanding Ghana Premier League clash on Thursday afternoon.

The draw at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium hands the Kumasi-based club their 25th title success in Ghana’s elite competition, which also confirms their qualification for next season’s CAF Champions League competition.
Yaw Annor gave the Obuasi-based club the lead in the first half but the reds responded with a Maxwell Agyemang second-half equalizer.
They currently have 60 points, 10 points more than the second-placed team, Bechem United, who have accumulated 50 points after 31 matches.
It becomes the club’s first Ghana Premier League title in eight years.
