Samuel Sarpong disguised himself as a taxi driver and managed to acquire the lady’s mobile money pin code with which he withdrew an amount of GH¢1000 from her account on the night she arrived in the town.

He then absconded with the said sum of money and a handbag belonging to the victim which contains her valuables.

The Police commander noted further that it took the intervention of a resident to rescue the victim in the night. He also said the suspect is known for luring his victims to unknown places and defrauding them.
