The king makers of Formana have petitioned the overlord of Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll, to as a matter of urgency deal with Opagya Kotwere Bonsra Afriyie ll, Adansihene for abandoning his duties as Omanhene of the area.
The kingmakers consisting of Bonsra Afriyie, Akwamu, and Kontire at a press conference at Fomena Palace in the Ashanti Region outlined ten major charges against Adansihene.
The spokesperson for the family, OheneBa Akwasi Boadi indicated among others that Opagya Kotwere Bonsra Afriyie ll has brought division in the Adansi divisional council and arrogated family lands meant for sandwining business to carter for members of the royal family.
The Omanhene was also accused of praticing illegal mining (Galamsey) within some communities belonging to Fomena Traditional Area thereby destroying River Gyimi.
They have therefore appealed to the Abusuapanin of Fomena, Koronti Division, Nana Broni Parko lll and Asantehene to intervene.
