The senior women’s national team, Black Queens trashed their counterpart from Rwanda in the second leg fixture of the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The game played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, saw the Queens put 5 goals past the away side.
The Black Queens went into the tie with a 7:0 scoreline they recorded during the first leg played last week in Kigali, Rwanda.
With the second leg a mere formality, the Ghanaian team showed no mercy as coach Nora Häuptle ladies dismantled the Rwandans at the Accra Sports Stadium.
A hat-trick from Alice Kusi and a goal each from Evelyn Badu and Stella Nyamekye’s helped complete the demolishing exercise.
The victory means the Black Queens have advanced to the next stage of the qualifiers with 12:0 on aggregate.
