The Greater Accra Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Nukpenu, has predicted doom for the country if things are not done the right way.
According to the NDC organizer, “we [the citizens] are living within a national disaster-prone situation.”
He said President Akufo-Addo, and his ministerial appointees should be proactive enough and act as a leader who has been given the national mandate and not take issues lightly.
“And the President should be like a man that has been given the mandate of the country because he shouldn’t take it lightly that the affected areas are North and South Tongu,” he voiced.
He urged authorities to roll out drastic measures on the dam spillage to avoid further unforeseen cankers.
“If we don’t manage the spillage and it blows, we will lose, Adomi and Soga Kope bridge. The country must rise to the occasion,” he added.
Mr. Nukpenu therefore pleaded with Ghanaians to join hands with the government, individuals and other non-governmental agencies and help support the affected communities.
“Health and food are eminent everybody must help make everything available, people need safety.”
