Owner and bankroller of Ghana Division One League side, Elmina Sharks, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has predicted doom for Ghana football under its current administration.
According to him, the country’s football will not progress under GFA President Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku, unless things are done properly.
Ghana football has recently experienced a significant decline, with its retrogression under the current administration highlighted by the country’s inability to qualify for the 2025 AFCON to be hosted in Morocco.
As a result, football administrators and other stakeholders have voiced their concerns, offering suggestions to restore Ghana’s lost glory in football on the continent and the world at large.
Many have also called for the immediate dissolution of the Black Stars to rebuild from scratch.
However, Mr. Nduom, the former Ghana Premier League side owner has stated that dissolving the national team is the least of the problems.
“You can sack the coaches, the players but if you don’t restructure the administration of football – GFA seriously, nothing good will happen any time soon,” the owner of the defunct GN Bank expressed in a post on Facebook.
