The Office of the Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, has called on all religious leaders to formally submit any prophecy or spiritual insight of a national nature to the office for urgent review and possible action.
According to the government, the move is expected to ensure accountability, spirit of responsibility, discernment, and stewardship over the nation’s destiny, particularly during uncertain times.
In a statement issued by the Presidential Envoy, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, the government expressed appreciation to churches and faith-based organisations for their unwavering spiritual support, intercessory prayers, and leadership in promoting peace, moral integrity, and national unity.
The statement noted that the role of religious institutions in Ghana’s civic and spiritual life remains indispensable.
The directive, the statement explained, aims to strengthen national coordination on spiritual matters in times of uncertainty and complexity.
“We kindly encourage you to inform all Prophets, Men and Women of God under your oversight that any prophecy or spiritual insight of a national nature, especially those with implications for high-profile political leaders, governance, national security, or public stability should be formally relayed to the Office of the Presidential Envoy for urgent review and appropriate escalation,” It said.
Mr. Afriyie Ankrah further appealed for intense prayers for President Mahama, all state institutions, bereaved families, and the entire nation in the wake of the recent tragic accident that claimed the eight lives.
He expressed hope for continued partnership and shared spiritual responsibility to ensure peace and prosperity in Ghana.
