The Ghana Police Service has arrested David Kwodwo Prah Afful for inciting violence against public officials and government workers through a viral social media video.
According to an official statement from the police, the arrest was made following sustained intelligence operations.
The suspect is currently in police custody and is expected to be put before the court, the statement released on September 13, 2025 noted.
This development comes shortly after President John Dramani Mahama’s recent declaration that individuals who incite violence on social media platforms will be tracked and prosecuted.
The President made this announcement during his maiden Presidential Media engagement at the Presidency on Wednesday, September 10.
